What is Patreon, you may ask. Patreon is a platform for creators to get paid, and for patrons to communicate directly with creators in regards to their work. Basically you make a "Pledge" every month and get access to bonus content, direct access and special rewards.
Why pay? Well, so I can keep working. Ha ha but really, Patreon is a safe space to post content that people SPECIFICALLY want to see, without being lost in the algorythum. Havnt seen a post lately? Miss your favorite creators lost in a sea of ads and racist Aunt Karens misinformation? This is a platform to both support those people and get away from that BS. I know its tough, and a lot of people dont have a lot of spare cash for something they can prolly get for free, but I just wanted to throw out there that I have this available and if you would like to join that community it is available to you!

Mr. Pickles is 20! What an old bugger, right? I got him when I was 18, working at Petco. We had a cat rescue who come by every week, and our family cat, Shadows had been poisoned by eating a poisoned mouse (please don't use rodent poison all). My mom was NOT taking it well, and in general the family was pretty depressed, so when the cat rescue had their annual "Black and White" sale I drug my mom to their head quarters. The Black and White sale was whenever they had to many black, white or tuxedo cats, the adoption was $20 a piece! They are the least adopted colors because they are the most common colors.
We looked around, and the head rescue gal mentioned there were a pair of black boy cats at an adoption event down at Arden Fair mall in Sacramento that she thought would be perfect for our family, and my mom said lets go! An hour later we went down to that event, and Batty and Koda had already found a home. So we looked around at the other kitties. My mom was set on getting a pair of kitties, so we looked at multi home cats specifically. Mom fell in love with a silly looking, long bodied, wall eyed black tuxedo named Snow Paws. I was looking for a black/white cat, but this little blue tux was squeaking and rubbing on the cage all cute, so the rescue gal there opened the cage for him. He immediately wanted loves, and was a ball of purrs. "Mom I like this guy" "Of course you do, his name is Pickles" "Oh my god his name is PICKLES??" and I adopted him right there. As we were leaving my sister declared there was a cat she was getting, having been quiet and moody the whole trip. An Elderly Persian with the best resting bitch face named Kelsey joined us too. Turned out Snow Paws had been mixed up with the actual snow paws, was 8+, HATED other cats, and being indoors, and would puke, pee and poop everywhere until we let him outside, much to the cat rescues dismay. He never would leave the porch though. So Snow PEES as he was dubbed became my dads smoking buddy (gatta have a cigar on the porch right? bleh), My sister soon learned she was mildly allergic to cats so Kelsey on her bed 24/7 was bad, so the 16+ year old lady moved into my moms room, and Pickles became our family snuggle butt. He truly is a lover guy, really loves everyone. He's my good boy (Except peeing on rugs, which is his second favorite hobby) and Lived through like 5 other cats, several dog buddies, a few moves, bad boy friends, a wedding and just keeping being a good squeaky boy! |
